Taps Node
Turn a single echo into a living texture: from straight-ahead repeats to kaleidoscopic, pitched delay patterns.

What Taps is
Taps is a creative multi-tap delay that can run as a standalone plugin in your DAW or as a module inside BEAM. It builds layered echoes (“taps”), lets you reshape their timing and stereo movement, and even pitch each tap to turn the delay line into a playable instrument.
Interface tour
The interface is organized into three areas that shape time, space, and texture.

- Timing (left column) — Sets the delay time, how many taps you generate, how those taps are distributed, and how much signal feeds back.
- Taps Panel (center) — A hands‑on canvas for spacing and pitching. Use it to sculpt stereo motion and set the pitch of individual taps.
- Tape (right column) — Adds analog‑style movement and grit: wow, flutter, dropouts, and dust.
Timing

Delay (free or tempo‑sync)
Controls the core echo timing.
- Free: Set a continuous time value for classic slapbacks through long ambient repeats.
