What Taps is

Taps is a creative multi-tap delay that can run as a standalone plugin in your DAW or as a module inside BEAM. It builds layered echoes (“taps”), lets you reshape their timing and stereo movement, and even pitch each tap to turn the delay line into a playable instrument.

Interface tour

The interface is organized into three areas that shape time, space, and texture.

  1. Timing (left column) — Sets the delay time, how many taps you generate, how those taps are distributed, and how much signal feeds back.
  2. Taps Panel (center) — A hands‑on canvas for spacing and pitching. Use it to sculpt stereo motion and set the pitch of individual taps.
  3. Tape (right column) — Adds analog‑style movement and grit: wow, flutter, dropouts, and dust.
